My Mind's Playing Tricks On Me?

So today a morning radio show I seldomly listen to spoke about an issue I find somewhat laughable; mental health, in the hood. I know exactly what these guy's angle was and I commend them for trying to tackle that "big boys don't cry" shit. I get it, I applaud the effort. Now my problem is that there is no real effort to come up with a real solution, The tactics which supposedly assist one with coping with said mental health issues are like giving someone a pair of crutches and they're in a fucking body cast. Lets keep it 3 hunna and seriously address the problem, the ills of society which cause these problems. Unrealistic standards are spoonfed to the people who reside in this country and without the proper guidance they can cause these people to deal with unrealistic scenarios. Only in America can I witness people who are groomed to have a drive which makes them want to make ALL of the money, get the money and can buy anything they want, and be unhappy or depressed. Then you got unnecessary mental health "experts" diagnosing people with these bogus ass diseases or conditions which can only be fixed with these magical beans, I mean pills. Think about it, they keep diagnosing Our children with ADHD because they won't pay attention to bullshit boring ass lesson plans in an era where their attention is being captivated and stimulated by TV ads, Ipads, commercials, billboards, etc... How can Mrs. Smith compete with an Old Spice commercial in terms of keeping a 13yr old's attention or sparking their interest? Why are we drugging children to pay attention to bogus history and math problems they'll never in ever use in life? I mean I'm not saying ALL of mental health is bullshit, but to really approach this problem with intentions of preventing or coming up with solutions we need to get to the root of said problem. How about we STOP trying to profit off of peoples' sickness that we ultimately create and start trying to solve these issues, no? No? Fine, fuck you then I'm out. Peace!

"So wait? We cause these very problems? We gotta change the way we do things and live our lives to fix this? Really? There's no other way without me having to do anything? The pills over there? Yeah!!! We'll take it."

This is the continuous conversation in society. There has to be a balance. We're overstimulated in everything, and spoonfed everything in the most condensed/simplest form, and then wonder why nobody has the attention span to actually do anything. Society has to become more balanced.

Im sure many behavioral issues can be linked to how we live and what we're exposed to. Chemical/hormonal imbalances can probably linked to our diets. If you eat McDs the whole time ur pregnant, im sure your kid will be deficient in something. But nobody wants to change, or admit mistakes and work to correct them. Pill it is.

But the mental health issue is a serious one. Many children and adults are not stable. Problem is that we (as a society) CONTINUOUSLY are reactive and hardly ever proactive and preventive, which is exactly what you point out.

Prevention is the real solution here. Problem is, it most definitely will involve reducing or entirely eliminating some things, which doesn't work in a money perspective for the ones who produce/sell the items that contribute to the problem.

If a kid has no problem concentrating on cartoons whats the problem in a classroom its not that they need pills its that they need to turn the damn tv off and read books to stimulate the mind fiction or not.

Some kids are actually over hyper, but just because they arent paying attention or concentrating in class does not mean they have ADHD because they go home and sit still in front of the tv. Also Highblood pressure can be cured or quelled just by a change in diet or exercise but no people go to the doctor and get some pills(I know people like that)
